Now you guys know I really want to build a 510 with a 4g63 in it. Well....I was out delivering tonight and found something different to me, but common to others.
I was walking up to this house on main street, and noticed a 240z sitting in the driveway. It was well aged, showing some rust spots, some dents, and some unfinished body work. As I went to the door of the house, a lady came out and got her package from me. I immediately asked about the datsun and she said she FINALLY talked her husband into selling it. They want 750 for it and they are the 2nd owners. I must have been talking to the lady for about 15 minutes and the husband drives up. She fills him in on how I am interested in the car yadda yadda (he daily drives an EG btw).
I tell him I am interested in it as a project. He says there are tons of spare parts in it and it runs nicely. He said he swapped out the old motor for one of the later 280z motors. I told him that sounds cool, but I want to swap a 4g63 in it....I said its a mitsubishi 4 cylinder turbocharged motor. I cant get away from them, and they make amazing power.
Anywho, I think I am going to end up getting this car. Its 71, pre smog. So if I build it, my nephew can enjoy it when I cant anymore. **** smog!

that sucks, but what you said is true. older cars like that probably in better condition, always pop up, and especially with your kind of job (ups delivery) youll come across another one.
